About This Website 
 
This website was designed to achieve two purposes:
  1. To demonstrate to potential clients and employers my marketing skills and abilities to do a job.
  2. Digital Marketing Sandbox - This web project is more than just a website. It is a wholly integrated digital campaign that is a platform that allows for experimentation with numerous elements of Internet marketing.

The best way to learn, in my opinion, is to try out many different ideas. Unfortunately, failure is an unfortunate byproduct of this learning style. By trying new things within my own campaign, I am able to implement into client projects the outcome of the experiments (freshly gained ideas that have been tested) while leaving the mistakes behind.


 

Digital Marketing Elements in this Campaign Include:

Pay-Per-Click (also known as PPC, Search Engine Marketing, or SEM) - I am going to place PPC ads on the big three search engines: Google, Bing, and Yahoo, and the content network as well.
 
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Go ahead, do a search for my name in Google or Yahoo and you'll see that this website is the top listed search result.
 
Social Media - I have created a professional profile on numerous social media websites, and integrated them with this website, and linked most of them to each other as well.

Web Analytics - Google Analytics is installed on this website to measure traffic and visitors. I also get visitor reports generated by Microsoft Office Live Small Business. This allows me to test two different analytic platforms. Just for the sake of experimentation, I plan to create a funnel using the Contact page and Resume PDF download of this site as conversions.
 
Web Design - Thus far, I have managed to do everything for this campagn and website all on my own (brainstorming, design elements, domain registration, hosting decision, etc.). I will, however, solicit feedback from various individuals in an effort to maintain constant improvement. If you have a suggestion, please contact me and share your ideas.
 
Blog - This aspect of the campaign is currently in the infancy phase, but I do plan on writing useful and actionable articles to integrate into the mix.
